Nebraska Land Trust began working with Ron and Carol Patterson in 2008 to conserve the farm that has been in Carol’s family for over 100 years. They wanted to ensure the farm stayed a farm amidst the rapid urban sprawl occuring in Sarpy County. In 2015, their story was featured in the Omaha World Herald.
